First sign-in
Accept your invitation, sign in, use two-factor authentication and set the interface language.

This guide shows how to accept your invitation to FlowEngine, sign in for the first time and set the interface language.
Prerequisites#
- Your company's administrators have invited you by email. An invitation is valid for seven days.
- You have access to the mailbox the invitation was sent to.
If you are setting up FlowEngine for a new company, register instead with Sign up on the sign-in page. You then become your company's first administrator.
Accept the invitation#
Open the invitation link
Open the link in the invitation email. The page for activating your account appears.
Complete your details
Enter your First name and Last name. Under Create password, choose a password with at least eight characters and repeat it under Confirm password.
Choose two-factor authentication (optional)
Select Set up 2FA now if you want to secure your account with an authenticator app right away. You can also do this later under Settings → Sign-in & security.
Activate the account
Click Activate account. FlowEngine confirms with Account activated! Please sign in. If you chose two-factor authentication, its setup opens instead.
Activating your account also gives it a personal intake address for documents sent by email. You will find it in your profile later.
Sign in#
Open the sign-in page
Open the FlowEngine sign-in page. Your administrators can tell you its address.
Enter your credentials
Enter your Email Address and Password. The eye icon shows the password so you can check it.
Stay signed in (optional)
Select Remember me for 30 days only on a device that you alone use.
Sign in
Click Sign In. If you have set up two-factor authentication, FlowEngine then asks for the 2FA code: enter the current six-digit code from your authenticator app and click Verify 2FA.
After signing in, the Dashboard opens. If you followed a link to a specific page, you go there instead.
How long you stay signed in#
Your company's security policy limits the length of a session, even if you selected Remember me for 30 days. By default, a session ends after at most twelve hours and after 60 minutes without activity. Your administrators can set other values. After that, you sign in again.
To sign out, click Sign out at the bottom of the left navigation.
Set the interface language#
FlowEngine is available in German and English.
Open the settings
Click Settings in the left navigation and select Language & appearance.
Choose the language
Under Interface language, choose English or Deutsch. The change applies immediately, without saving.
The setting applies to menus and hints in the browser where you make it. The contents of your documents are not translated. On the same page, choose between Light, Dark and System under Color scheme.
Common errors#

| "Email, password, or 2FA code is not correct." | One of the entries is wrong. The same message currently also appears if your account was removed from the company or the company was deactivated. | Check your entries. If you forgot your password, use Forgot password?. |
| "The 2FA code is not correct or has already expired." | The code is wrong or older than its validity period. | Enter the next code from the authenticator app; check the time on your device. |
| No access to the authenticator app any more | Device lost or replaced. | Select Reset 2FA with a recovery code and enter one of the recovery codes you saved during setup. Then sign in again with your password. |
